Twins making their way in Atlanta
After losing their mother before graduation, Jakobe and his twin sister built a new chapter — and Jakobe built a hospitality career at Atlanta Airport Marriott.

“Ideally suited for the hospitality industry, Jakobe is well-positioned for years of career advancement with Marriott.”
Sometimes the young adults who come to Bridges have had to shoulder adult responsibility far too soon. Jakobe and his twin sister lost their mother before they graduated from Fulton County's Creekside High School in May 2022.
With the steady support of his Bridges Associate, Sharron Pearson, Jakobe worked through career exploration, interview prep, and the skills that turn a first job into a career. He was hired at one of two restaurants inside the Atlanta Airport Marriott Hotel in September 2022 — starting as a utility steward and, through his work ethic, earning a move into a food runner role.
Today Jakobe and his twin sister share an apartment and are living independently. An outgoing young man with unbridled enthusiasm, Jakobe is ideally suited for the hospitality industry — and well-positioned for years of career advancement with Marriott.
