Frequently asked

Questions employers ask.

What does it cost employers to hire through Bridges?
Nothing. Bridges is free for participants and free for employers. The program is funded through grants, donations, and corporate giving.
How does Bridges screen candidates?
Every candidate goes through months of preparation: career interest assessments, workplace readiness training, soft skills coaching, resume building, and interview prep. We match candidates to roles based on strengths, not just availability.
What support does Bridges provide after a hire?
Our Youth Employment Specialists travel with the new hire to the workplace on day one and stay involved for up to 12 months. We coordinate onboarding with your HR team, support new-hire problem-solving, and follow up at 30, 60, 90 day milestones to help retention.
What types of roles can Bridges fill?
Bridges has placed candidates across hospitality, retail, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, food service, financial services, government, and more. Over 6,500 employers including Aramark, CVS, Amazon, Kroger, Target, Marriott, UPS, and Home Depot have hired through Bridges.
How long does the placement process typically take?
It varies based on role and location. Most placements happen within weeks of an employer indicating interest. Your local Bridges program can give you specific timelines for your area.
