About this program
Bridges Fort Worth serves young adults ages 17 to 26 in Tarrant County and the surrounding area. The program partners with Fort Worth Independent School District to identify students who can benefit from career readiness support and to coordinate transition planning with school staff.
Founded in 2017, Bridges Fort Worth is the newer of the two Bridges programs serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. The Fort Worth program operates in coordination with Bridges Dallas, sharing leadership and a regional employer network across DFW.
Bridges Fort Worth partners with the Texas Workforce Commission and Fort Worth Independent School District on referral pathways and employment services, supporting pre-employment transition and competitive integrated employment outcomes for young adults across Tarrant County.
Like every Bridges site, the Fort Worth program is free for participants and their families. A Youth Employment Specialist works one-on-one with each young adult to identify career goals, develop interviewing skills, connect with employers, create a résumé, apply for jobs, get a job, and succeed in a job. After a placement, the same specialist supports the new hire through the first year of employment, coordinating with the employer's HR team and following up at 30, 60, and 90-day milestones. The program is funded through grants, donations, and corporate giving. There is no tuition, and no fee to the employer.
The Fort Worth team operates from the Dallas office at 1201 Main Street, open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
