From shelving books to a Fordham sophomore year

Cloudy enrolled with Bridges in July, started at the New York Public Library by October, and is still there a year and a half later, while attending Fordham and applying to legal-outreach internships.

New York, NY

Cloudy Lopez enrolled with Bridges in mid-July 2024. By October, barely two months later, she'd started a job as a Library Page at the Grand Concourse branch of the New York Public Library.

More than a year and a half later, she's still there. Her work covers shelving, helping patrons find materials, answering in-person questions, and walking people through computer, internet, and A/V equipment.

Cloudy is also a sophomore at Fordham University, in their Higher Education Opportunity Program. This spring she's applying for legal-outreach internships.
