Promoted to crew lead in under a year

Denisse was a Snowden International senior when she came to Bridges. Hired at AMC in May 2025, she crossed 90 days, picked up multi-station shifts, and was promoted to crew lead the following spring.

Denisse Beltre Cabral started working with her Youth Employment Specialist in February 2025, during her last semester at Snowden International School. Her teacher Mr. Abbott connected her with Bridges. Her best friend, Synia, was already in the program and had encouraged her to join.

Her Youth Employment Specialist helped Denisse get a Massachusetts ID, update her resume, and apply for several jobs. Denisse was open to any role in retail or food service. She interviewed at both Chipotle and AMC Theaters and got offers from both.

She picked AMC because she liked working multiple stations as a crew member: tickets, usher, utility, and concessions. In her first months on the job, her coworkers became friends and her supervisors started flagging her for a future leadership role.

Denisse plans to start classes at Bunker Hill Community College in the fall. Her evening and weekend hours at AMC fit the daytime class schedule. Her favorite perk: free movies on days off.

In April 2026, AMC promoted Denisse to crew lead.
