Traveon Benjamin came to Bridges from DISD's MCMC program, where he'd done a semester of dry-cleaning and laundry training. He'd really enjoyed it. Finding him a laundry job was the goal.

He was shy and quiet at first. His Bridges team spent a lot of time on interview skills, eye contact, sentence flow, the small mechanics that turn a candidate into a hire. The practice paid off. Aramark Uniform Services hired him.

Eight years later, Traveon is full-time with benefits. He trains new co-workers. His supervisors give him high praise. He's been such a good employee that Aramark hired another Bridges student from the same MCMC program, Traveon's success became the case for hiring another.

His managers have to force him to use his PTO because he never misses work. Traveon takes DART paratransit from the other side of Dallas every day. He lives with his extended family and is a key contributor to their household income.

He's been spotlighted by DFW Bridges as one of their long-term success stories. Eight years in, he sees himself continuing at Aramark for a long time more.
