First female Porter at Circle Line, and Rookie of the Month

After being passed over for the warehouse role she wanted, Veronica didn't quit. She came back to Circle Line for a different opening, got hired on the spot, and became their first female Porter.

New York, NY
Veronica Vollaro, Rookie of the Month at Legends Hospitality

Veronica Vollaro had warehouse experience from a job at Uncommon Goods, and she was hopeful that experience would carry her into the warehouse opening at Circle Line earlier this year. She interviewed. She didn't get the offer.

Veronica didn't quit. She told her Bridges Employment Specialist she wanted to keep going, and she had a particular interest in custodial work. She loved cleaning, and she wanted a job where that was the work.

There were a lot of applications. A lot of interviews. None of them landed.

Then her ES heard about another Circle Line hiring event, this time for Porters. Veronica went, and she was hired on the spot.

She's been at Circle Line ever since. As of late October, she crossed 180-day retention. She earned Rookie of the Month for September. And she became Circle Line's first female Porter, a fact she's proud of.
