On June 8, 2022, Bridges presented William Bedford with the Stephen G. Marriott Youth Achievement Award at its annual gala at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC.
William, who is from Chicago, told Bridges' camera, "I felt like I'm never going to find a job."
His Bridges Youth Employment Specialist, LaTricia Morgan, said William made sure to tell her he would be a hard worker.
After joining the program, William got a steady job and is now a 2022 honoree.
