Why Accenture keeps hiring through Bridges
A CEO on the board. 12 hires across multiple offices. Three paid summer interns who are now college freshmen. Accenture's partnership with Bridges is a model of what's possible when employers lean in.

“Accenture's commitment to inclusive hiring is a model for what's possible when businesses and nonprofit partners unite for a common cause.”
During National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Bridges celebrates one of our most engaged corporate partners: Accenture, the global professional services company.
Accenture CEO Julie Sweet has served on the Bridges board of trustees since 2020, has co-chaired the annual Bridges Gala three times, and has been instrumental in facilitating employment opportunities for twelve Bridges participants across multiple Accenture offices.
More recently, pro-bono Accenture consultants helped Bridges develop a strategic plan that prioritizes key organizational objectives for the next three years — one of which is increasing the number of young adults with disabilities who get jobs each year in America's largest cities and school districts.
Last summer, Accenture professionals in Atlanta, Dallas, and New York City welcomed Bridges participants and employment specialists for information sessions — guided tours of collaborative workspaces, workshops on design thinking, and product demos on AI, robotics, and virtual reality.
In Atlanta, three Bridges participants — Ashley Baptiste, Radaisha Henry, and DeAngelo Stargell — completed paid summer internships at Accenture's Midtown office, mentored by Atlanta Bridges alumna Tasha Lewis (now in her sixth year at Accenture). All three have since started college — in Georgia and Virginia.
Employer partnerships like this break down barriers for young adults with disabilities who need help connecting to the adult workforce, realizing career aspirations, and living independent, self-determined lives.
Stories like this happen because of partnership.
Hire through Bridges, fund a placement, refer a young adult, or share your own story.
