Jewel-Osco has been a Bridges partner since 1990. In 35+ years, they've hired 490 Bridges participants, young adults with disabilities who came to the program looking for a first job, a way back into the workforce, or a steady place to grow.
The 490 hires include Austin, who came to his interview extremely shy and was given the chance anyway. Jacob, whose anxiety made interviews feel impossible, but who's now part-time at Jewel-Osco while pursuing his college degree. Timothy, who'd never interviewed or traveled independently and was hired on the spot. Rhys, whose manager started repeating: "Give me ten more like Rhys."
